NSW Rural Fire Service Environmental Monitoring Portal

Welcome to the NSW Rural Fire Service Environmental Monitoring and Reports Portal.

To generate an Environmental report using the Control Panel to the right, please follow the steps below...

Weather Station Selection

Using the drop menu below Weather Station Selection, choose the location you wish to view weather readings from.

Date Range

This option allows you to select a specific time period to view environmental data from. To do this first click on the calendar icon beside the word From: and select your starting date and then click on the calendar icon beside the word To: for your ending data period. Alternatively enter the dates manually in the form yyyy-mm-dd. Please note to get the current readings since mid night leave the default dates that appear below Date Range.

Data Sampling Intervals

By default reports will be generated via five minute data sampling intervals and does not need to be changes when viewing readings for a single day. When graphing readings over long periods of time, eg. weeks or months, a message will appear on the screen prompting you to increase sampling times so the Portal can generate a legible graph.

Sensor Display Option

By default all sensors are on. This option allows you to turn off reports you don't need. At least one sensor must be selected.

Display Output

Here you can select how you wish to view your weather report. Select the Graph option for a graphical over view or select Table to read a more precise report. The third option will generate a CSV file you can download and import into Microsoft Office to produce your own reports.
